As a key part of furthering its autonomous IT operations vision, OpsRamp, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, this week announced its new operations copilot feature, a natural-language interface that enables enterprises to identify, predict and solve IT problems more quickly by converting machine data into a human-friendly and actionable form.  

The operations copilot combines observability signal-specific Al models developed by OpsRamp with a GenAl conversational assistant to digest large data sets and provide insights in near real time through dashboards generated on the fly. It determines how to respond to telemetry signals by detecting anomalies, correlating events, interpreting data and making recommendations in real language. 

Built on the foundation of unified telemetry, AI and ML-powered analytics from applications to infrastructure, and an automation framework to respond to the recommendations suggested by the copilot, then kick off processes for orchestration and remediation, the copilot furthers OpsRamp’s vision of autonomous IT operations.   

The operations copilot will allow ITOps teams to converse in natural language to query the system and return recommendations for actions to take in charts and graphs that show IT performance data, as well as some plain text responses. In this way, the operations copilot will generate dashboards on the fly in response to natural language queries.
