During October and November, OpsRamp unpacked our Fall Release, issued a new report on modern IT operations, sponsored  two Gartner conferences, announced a new VP of Worldwide Channel Sales and received recognition from CRN as a technology innovator. #1 - OpsRamp Releases Report on Modern IT Operations in the Digital Age 

The OpsRamp Report on Modern IT Operations in the Digital Age is a study on the findings of a recent survey of enterprise IT operations leaders who answered the following questions:

  • What are the roadblocks to IT operations modernization?
  • What skills do enterprises need for effective digital operations management?
  • Which metrics are most important to evaluate IT operational effectiveness?

We surveyed 250 IT operations leaders on how they are reinventing their organization to support the business and delivering differentiating end-user experiences. #2 - Platform Updates - OpsRamp Expands AIOps and Multi-Cloud Monitoring Capabilities

With the Fall 2019 Release and November 2019 update, OpsRamp introduced new AIOps innovations with enhanced alert pattern detection, inference stats widgets for quantifying the impact of OpsQ Observed Mode, and third-party alert context for better troubleshooting. The release introduces enhanced multi-cloud monitoring capabilities for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

The OpsRamp Fall 2019 Release also introduced alert similarity reinforced correlation, real-time discovery for GCP platform resources and other updates to the OpsRamp platform. #3 - OpsRamp at Gartner Symposium, Orlando | Barcelona

OpsRamp was a sponsor of the Gartner Symposium in Orlando and Barcelona where CIOs and top executives gathered to share knowledge on the changing role of IT operations. The team demonstrated how enterprises can consolidate hybrid, fragmented, and shadow IT onto a digital operations command center and control the chaos of modern IT infrastructure management. Product expert Eric Cook was in Barcelona and he shares his thoughts here.  Darren Cunningham, VP of Marketing wrote about the key highlights from Orlando and Barcelona. Darren also wrote a summary of author Malcolm Gladwell’s talk at Garner Symposium, Orlando. 

#4 - OpsRamp Honored as a Finalist in the 2019 CRN® Tech Innovator Awards

CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, has recognized OpsRamp as a finalist in the 2019 CRN Tech Innovator Awards. OpsRamp’s hybrid monitoring and management platform with AIOps was recognized as a finalist in the IT Infrastructure Monitoring category. CRN editors evaluated hundreds of products, across 34 technology categories using criteria including technological advancements, uniqueness of features, and potential to help solution providers solve common IT challenges.

#5 - Channel Veteran Brian Hartwell Joins OpsRamp as Channel Chief

OpsRamp expanded its sales leadership team with the appointment of Brian Hartwell to Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales. Hartwell is a 15-year veteran of technology sales, most recently serving as the Vice President of Alliances for Rubrik. The news was widely covered in the media with articles from CRN, Channelnomics, and ChannelE2E. Brian also shared his thoughts on joining OpsRamp with CRN.

#6 - OpsRamp  in the News 

OpsRamp’s thought leaders contributed several articles to the industry. Varma Kunaparaju, OpsRamp Co-Founder and CEO, wrote an article on Forbes explaining how IT Operations teams can dig themselves out of technical debt. Michael Fisher shared the  5 DevOps skills for IT Operations for Dice. Michael Del Castillo explained why technical debt can affect your digital goals in an article for ToolBox. Michael Fisher also shared his thoughts with TechTarget on how container data storage can lower costs and how to utilize chaos engineering. Ravi Penikala, Senior Director of Engineering wrote about 3 keys to a highly effective product release and Bhanu Singh shared his thoughts on how IT can survive the perfect storm of digital disruption.
